Move over Apple Cider Vinegar. Coconut Sap Vinegar is here! If Apple Cider Vinegar is healthy, Well, Coconut Sap Vinegar is even healthier!
It has been popularly promoted that apple cider vinegar contains a load of nutrients that allows it to heal multiple ailments and prevent chronic diseases of aging. This is a matter of opinion.
Based on USDA Nutrition Database, a nutritional analysis reveals that apple cider has no measurable vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and fiber (pectin and amino acid content is zero.)
In contrast, Coconut Secret Coconut Vinegar contains measurable 17 amino acids, broad-spectrum B vitamins, vitamin C, minerals plus an excellent source of FOS (a prebiotic that promotes digestive health).
There is no contest here. This is a very easy choice.
This Coconut Secret Vinegar does not have coconutty taste. It contains the “Mother” of vinegar, beneficial bacteria that boosts its nutrient benefits.
This is a natural, non-synthetic, unrefined product made from the pure sap of organic coconut trees. It is organically produced and processed the traditional way at volcanic-rich coconut plantations in the Philippine Islands endowed with nutrients.
NATURAL NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS
Coconut Secret products come from organically-grown coconut trees planted in the rich volcanic soils in the Philippines which contribute highly to its mineral content (especially Potassium 192 mg per tablespoon of fresh sap).
The organic coconut tree blossoms produce a highly nutrient-rich sap when it is hand-tapped. This all-natural and pure coconut sap is low glycemic and registers a nearly neutral pH.
It contains 17 amino acids, broad-spectrum B vitamins, vitamin C, minerals plus an excellent source of FOS (a prebiotic that promotes digestive health).
WHAT MAKES THIS VINEGAR SPECIAL?
The Coconut Secret Vinegar exceeds other vinegar brands in its amino acid, vitamin and mineral contents. It is an excellent source of FOS (a prebiotic that promotes digestive health).
The Coconut Secret Vinegar contains no water, no added sugar, no preservatives. It is chemical-free from toxins.
Coconut Vinegar is a healthier alternative over synthetic vinegars and other chemicals-treated food. This all-natural product is a very good digestive agent due to its high potassium and alkalinizing mineral content. The use of synthetic vinegar can cause gas, ulcer and other disorders.
HOW’S THE COCONUT SECRET VINEGAR SAUCE MADE?
This healthy vinegar is sourced directly from the organically-grown coconut tree blossoms that are tapped by hand to release nutrient-rich “sap”.
The rich volcanic soils in the Philippines where the coconuts are harvested contribute to the high mineral content of the coconut vinegar.
Coconut Secret Vinegar is naturally fermented applying traditional methods that leave its nutrition intact.
It is with vitamins and minerals (ex. beta-carotene, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and sodium).
The process of making Coconut Secret Vinegar is naturally aged for 8 months to a year.
The Coconut Vinegar is processed in a dedicated facility. However, it is bottled in a facility that also occasionally bottles peanut and walnut oils, as well as a dressing that may contain gluten.
The machines are thoroughly washed and sterilized before and after each production run and adhere to the strictest allergen protocols.
Coconut Secret is virtually certain that there is no commingling. But for liability reasons, it cannot issue a 100% guarantee that there is no contamination, even though it is highly unlikely.
Is there a difference between Coconut “Sap” Vinegar and Coconut “Water” Vinegar?
Oh yes! There is a stunning nutritional and palatable difference between coconut vinegar made from the “sap” of the coconut tree compared to one that is made from the water of mature coconuts.
The sap is collected from coconut blossom (young coconuts) before its maturity.
Tropical cultures revere the sap as the “lifeblood” of the coconut tree. All the minerals that aid the coconut tree’s growth and development primarily come from the seawaters along the coastal shores where majority of coconut trees naturally grow.
The 65 abundant minerals in the seawaters are absorbed by the roots of the tree, and then delivered by way of the sap, to all parts of the tree.
This sap is exceedingly rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, all of which translates into the impressive nutritional profile of sap vinegar.
The distinct fermentation process of sap vinegar contributes to its taste and nutrient quality compared to water-based vinegar. Sap vinegar is naturally aged for 8 months to one year, without any single alteration, thereby retaining and even enhancing its nutrient-rich properties.
Coconut water-based vinegar undergoes an “assisted” fermentation process of only 2-4 weeks, by adding as a fermentation starter, either apple cider vinegar, or muscovado cane sugar to catalyze fermentation.
This process disables the water-based vinegar in forming a “mother” culture, resulting in a less nutritious end product.
Sap vinegar naturally produces a “mother” full of ALIVE probiotics, enzymes and other health-promoting co-factors.
The water from mature coconuts is considered a disposable by-product in the production of other coconut ingredients such as coconut oil, coconut flour, shredded coconut, etc. Typically, this water is tossed out, making it much less costly to produce coconut water-based vinegar.

MVP COOKING TIP
This Coconut Secret Vinegar has a very strong taste. Based on my cooking experience, I reduce the amount of vinegar I put in all my recipes.
I am not fond of a strong vinegar-y taste so I actually only add ¼ of the proportion required and taste the dish before adding some more.
Better to put a little gradually as you taste-test if you need to add more as the vinegar taste may overpower your dish.
MVP BUYING TIP
If you are:
- a family of three or more,
- use a lot of Vinegar for cooking
- use Vinegar for personal care
then -- it is better to buy a separate bottle for cooking and for personal care. Stock up the goodness!

THE COCONUT SECRET STORY
The Coconut Secret products were borne out of a life quest by Leslie and Randy for a healthy alternative.
Their journey to discovery brought them all the way to the Philippine Islands, naturally-endowed with coconuts. The Coconut Secret was revealed and a collection of cocorific-products came to be.
Leslie recalls: “When both our parents learned they were diabetic, my brother and I were deeply inspired to search the world for pure, raw, truly delicious, low glycemic foods.
We were rewarded and blessed beyond expectations, in our discovery of the traditional products made from the sap of the wondrous coconut tree.
It is our joy to be able to share with you the gifts of these exceptional ingredients.”
